bluetooth vs. GPS is kind of an akward example. bluetooth is hardware AND software on the device looking for other hardware to pair with, GPS is hardware that is dormant until software tries to accesses it. (correct me if i'm wrong, that is my understanding of how they work, kinda basic explaination anyway.)

i think the point he was making was with no apps trying to access GPS then it won't be used = same as being turned off.

again, if my understanding of the situation is wrong, then my speculation could be WAY off base.

This may seem like a dumb question, but what is standby mode?

Memory Cleaner shouldn't be active. I mean, enable it but do it yourself manually, don't select auto when idle. That's bad.

I did some tests and found out the top battery drainers were:
Wi-Fi ON
3G ON
Encryption ON <--- this one really drains the battery

Having these all 3 enabled your battery could go down in 24 hours or less.
My battery lasts 3+ days, I have Wi-Fi off, 3G off, Gps off, screen 10 - dim auto, timeout 20, memory clean enabled but doing it manually, no encryption, no key store, no password, no bluetooth, no background running apps.
