I updated to .75 which I think has made a huge difference. I charged my phone last night and took it off this morning around 7:30am. I would consider myself to be fairly heavy user since I am always messing with my Storm and now at 10:54pm I still have 25% left. Before when I was running .65 my phone wouldnt last through the day before it died.

my battery usage is still not enough to get me through the day. have to bring the charger with me.

To be fair, I do stream music all day from it at work. Hopefully with this supposed increase even further with .76 and an seido extended battery I wont have to bring the charger.

I'm a moderate user, and I say it runs me a full 2/2.5 days before dying on me. Go through a couple full charge and depletion cycles to increase your battery life.

I'm a decently heavy user. Not too many phone calls, but a lot of browsing. I took my phone off the charger at 7:30 this morning, and I have about 40% left. Better than my last phone, so I'm not complaining.

I felt my curve lasted longer. I get down to about 50% per day...sometimes less. I could go a few days without recharging the curve.

My phone was dead by the end of the day and I only used it heavily during lunch. My treo would last 3 days.

I live in an area with limited EV service, and I get over a day going in and out of service. Not sure how my usage stacks up with other people's.

I charged mine when I went to bed Sunday around 2am. Woke up around noon and took it off the charger. I went all day Sunday and Monday on the same charge. Noon Sunday to 1130pm monday and still rocking!!! According to my status in the options, I'm at 45%. I've had maybe ten calls in the five minute range. I've had around 20 emails and 30 txts. I've surferd the net a good bit too, especially looking up movie times. Earlier, I was showing my storm off to some friiends and they played with the camera, snapping a few pics. I've used a wide array of features(phone, txt, email, web and camera) and I'm feeling pretty good about my battery life so far.

Amen brother! This battery SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! My Curve lasted forever but this Storm's battery life is god awful! I had 35% left tonight, made a 25-30 minute phone call and I had to plug in the phone before I had finished as it was beeping "low battery".

Between the horrible battery life and the screwed up alerts/profiles I may end up returning this phone and going back to my Curve.

Over the weekend when I first got it (constant BBM use) I could get through about a day.

Since then, overall usage has gone down a bit and I usually run through about 40-50% in a 24 hour period.

It is 11:45pm, the phone came off the charger at 8am. I currently have 35% battery left.

I have listened to two hours of an audio book, talked on the phone for 3 hours (with bluetooth), spent ~45 minutes on the web, gotten about 100 emails (I have 2 personal and 1 work account feeding it), sent/received about 50 text messages and took a few pictures.

It's an average day of use with an average battery life remaining. I do have to charge it nightly but I have only run out once during the day and it was heavy use plus VZnav for 3+ hours.

One thing is I do have the leather holster that puts it into sleep mode. It stays in that 90% of the work day and when I leave around 5 I usually have about 80% life left.

Battery life has definitely increased with .75 for me. I took mine off charge @ 630am this morning and it is now 45% left @ 1140pm @ nite. I would consider myself a power texter, always checking and reading my mail, AIM throughout the day, few pics here and there and sending them MMS, moderate browser use. I have my LED status light on, backlight @ 10%, 10 seconds b4 dimming, notifications on loud, click tone off, bluetooth on driving into and back from work.

So does the number of email accounts bleed the battery? I understand if you are always looking, that is one thing, but does it take juice for the interface to search the other emails?

I have BES plus 2 emails up...wondering if I should cut one I don't need much.

All of you with dismal battery life are just letting the days go by without doing anything? Obviously the people above are getting great battery life, so why don't you go to the Verizon store and get a new battery? They're free! If you're battery isn't working right, theres no reason for Verizon not to replace it.

I am a really heavy user, from texting, talking, emailing, to browsing, when I get up, I unplug it, and usually always plug it in when I am driving, its easier...

You are right, the Storm battery does blow monkey nuts!! My 8830 would go days with heavy use. I can barely make it 12 hours w/o throwing it on charger. Hope OS updates help this thing out. The battery is really the only thing that concerns me right now with the Storm. BTW, I'm still running .65

I believe 0.75 made my battery last much longer.

I'm also probably not using the phone as much in the last couple days, but I keep looking at the charge and being surprised that it's not drained more than it is.
