If the “Wireless Upgrade” is missing, the device will need to be registered again performing the following actions.

    1. On the BlackBerry device Home screen, click Options > Advanced Options > Service Book
    2. Highlight the “Provisioning [OTASL]” service book entry, press the Menu key, and select
    3. Delete
    4. Then go to Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table.
    5. Press the Menu key.
    6. Select Register Now

Note: IF the “Wireless Upgrade” option still does not show in Options-Advanced at the very bottom then you
should return to the Options-Advanced-Service Book screen and highlight the “Provisioning
[OTASL]” service book entry, press the Menu key, and select Delete. Then press the Menu key, and select
    Undelete.

Didn't work for me either. Does it take a while for the option to appear?

Not sure why this is a new thread but it does work. You may have to do the delete/undelete quite a few times.

When i press on Check for Upgrades I get a message that states:
Unable to send request for available upgrades.

Any thoughts on why this may be happening?

My Wireless Update option is there under the Advanced Options, but when I push it it states "Unable to send request for available upgrades" I know the update isn't supposed to come until noon today, but shouldn't it try to look for the update and tell me none is available?

Doing that never worked for me. No matter how many times I deleted and undeleted the thing. However I did an upgrade last night to .78 and I now have the wireless upgrade option. Fab!
