how do i retrieve my username

i forgot the username i used to make a blackberry account with. any ideas on how i can get it back ?

im thinking you are trying to log into the bis site in which case if you created the account on the device you will have to create an account on the bis site as well...

don't worry you don't lose your stuff when doing so.

I have the same issue. When you first set up, I have the world edition, you put in a username and password. Cannot get back in! I need to change my "reply to" e-mail address. When I ask them to send me my password, I can put any username in there and it says "your password has been sent to your device" but it never comes. Is there anyone out there who knows how to reset, change, retrieve this stuff???

if you call verizon's tech support, 611 from your phone or 18009220204, and press option 3, they will reset your login for you. they did it for me, took 5 minutes.

make sure you put in your new pin and esn in the field while you are logged in.

then just put a note in your storm with your username and password so you have it just in case.

go into the email setup on the BB device. While in setup, press the BB button, and from the menu choose Create Username (or something along those lines). That'll let you create a username that will then let you log into the BIS website on a PC.

Thanks. I was having the same problem, and I was dreading having to call CS. This worked perfectly. They really should put something in the manual that tells you how to use this... then again it could be in there, I haven't looked. I just wonder why Verizon doesn't tell people about this.

@Cjohn=There's no thanks system I saw, so here's mine... THANKS

Took 6 mins for me, I'm always alittle slow. You can tell by post dates too. When they told me my user name the amnesia was over and it all came back too me, but they already changed password for me. thanks again

hi... i'm having the same problem which forgot my username and password. but i'm using BB torch 9800 and mine is AT&T set. and now i'm living in Asia (Malaysia).

Does anyone could help me on how for me can retrieved back my username and password for my to added up another email account in my BB.

You need to contact your current service provider and ask them to reset the user name and password if you cannot remember them.

i think there is an option for that on the sign in page.

I was in the same situation as well and how I figured out my username was by simply searching "blackberry" in the inbox search of my email account I created the id under. Once you first register a username blackberry sends you a confirmation email so it should say your username at the top of the email and with that you can reset your password.

I also struggled with this for some time after changing my GMail password. Neither my email address or screen name would be accepted when I tried to log in. Eventually, I managed to validate my email account:

1. Go to BlackBerry Wallpapers, Ringtones, and More from the device.

2. Scroll down to Communicate, click the Email link.

3. Select "Integrage Now" for the Email account that you want to manage (I selected GMail)

4. Click the big "Launch Email Setup" button

5. It should list your existing email account, with three options: Edit, Delete, Validate. Click "Validate" and enter your new email password

It's pretty old-school, but it works!

don't use a username.........you have 2 type in your email address and password.........there isn't any username required just your email...............
