How can I get rid of this new update and go back to the last version? New version deleted BBM and I tried to d/l it twice and I have absolutely no idea where it went. Memory is also cut in half even after doing 3 battery pulls. I'll wait until the bugs are worked out before I d/l update. PLEASE HELP!

you arent installing it correctly....delete it from your phone and then install from here

    www.blackberry.com/messenger

it will work for you then

as for the memory, it takes up some more memory but not that much more, maybe 5-10 megs

I would delete the downloaded update file and then re-download it and try a clean install of the OS 5.0. I had to do this because the first file I had was corrupt and my phone was all buggy. I downloaded it again and now my phone works wonderfully. I would try that before totally giving up on 5.0

How do I delete the update file? would love it if the new update ran as smooth as the last one.

well seeing how you have no idea what to do I'd just leave it and not worry about memory issues...its not as simple as just deleting an update file.

I don't understand why everyone says they don't have BB messenger. Its just in a new spot. Also, why does everyone like BB messenger, why not just send a SMS?

sms cost money, BBM is free
sms has 160 char limit, BBM has no limit
    etc

you can if you want but if both people have berries then BBM is easier

for some people when they upgraded the bb messenger was there but not accessible, needed to be re-downloaded
