There is a way, but you have to downgrade to OS 4.7.0.76 and then extract the code via a 3rd party PC program.

PM or email Leafan (earlier in the thread) as he had to do this with his Storm, and knows the programs and whatnot.

Thank you for help posted in this thread.
I too had the same problem of my Storm showing 'my number' incorrectly. Using the ##000000 worked great, my number now shows properly and 'Activation Required' has now changed to 'Orange'

My phone was bought 'new' from Verizon in the Dominican Republic. 'New' in the Dom Rep can mean anything from: graded, damaged, returned, ex contract, repaired, reboxed etc, from the US usually. It was sold as unlocked and the guy in the shop 'proved it' with my Orange sim.

I have another problem now that neither the Verizon store nor Orange are prepared to help with. I am on a budget voice only plan that can be topped up with PAYG cards but I am unable to top it up. Any number that starts with a '#' or '*' such as whats needed to top up the phone or get a balance gives me a message from Orange that the number dialled is incorrect or incomplete.

When I edited the 'my number' with ##000000 I noticed other info in there that relates to Telus Mobility. MMC 302 and MNC 86. So, my question is, is it safe to change these to the ones that represent my Orange Dominicana carrier? (MMC 370, MNC 01) If I do, are there other settings that must be changed too. Is this likely to be the cause of my problem?

    Thanks very much

Dood, wrong one what? Phone number displayed on phone display? Don't be offended, but do you even know what you are trying to ask? It seems that your confused.
