Default How can i unlock my blackberry storm 9350?

hello fellow crackberry members,
I am a tmobile customer but broke my previous blackberry. So i purchased a blackberry storm 9350 off of amazon and in the description it said the phone was unlocked. but when i received the phone today and put in my SIM card it said i needed to activate it and it was still programmed as a verizon blackberry. I was wondering if i could unlock the blackberry myself? my IMEI is 352110.03.705194.4

I attempted to do it myself using a youtube tutorial but it did not work, because after going to the SIM card tab under advacned options and typing MEPD, i could not get my network to say active. it said inactive. So i was a little confused if my phone is or is not unlocked? please help!

Im suck at technology so if you could go step by step for me that would be great.

thanks!

If it reads "Inactive" next to "Network", then it is already unlocked.

Did you switch it to GSM?

yep sounds like it is unlocked already, go to network options and change it to 2G. If you have a good sim it should work then

To get rid of the activation require message, just dial ##000000 and edit your phone #.

First of all, your Blackberry is unlocked if it says "Disabled" on the SIM card menu on all the lines there, but it's SIM LOCK that was unlocked (and now the device is SIM free, it's unlocked... but not set right)

What is "not set right" well as freethisberrydotcom already posted, you need to change the phone number of your Blackberry - it's a Verizon unlocked device that was working on Verizon mobile carrier, Verizon is a CDMA carrier and you need to enter the CDMA settings menu and edit the phone number that is set there (the old one) by doing this you will make it work with your GSM sim card.
