Ive added several mp4 files onto my memory card but each time i try to play i get the following message :

"an error occurred attempting to play media"

all the files ive uploaded work fine on my pc so i dont understand

anyone got any ideas.

How did you encode them?

Go to the SUPER sticky at the top of the page and make sure you are using the correct settings.

ok the videos are using codec h264 and from what i read this is fully supported by the handset

There is more to it besides the encoding. The picture size, audio bitrate and more can all effect how or if it plays on the phone.
