I bought a BlackBerry storm second-hand (although essentially new as the guy had only unlocked it, it was still packaged) from a guy online. Everything works fine except the guy had registered it via Vodafone's BIS service.

I can't get a hold of the guy I bought it off as I think he's out of the country. I've got a data plan and what not on O2 but can't get it setup on BIS with O2 until Vodafone release the PIN, which I need him to do, aaaahhhh

Anyway, there is a way to release the PIN yourself but you need the help of someone that already has a BlackBerry registered on BIS.

There's a guide at the Berry manual site (which I can't post the link to because I've got less than 10 posts, but you can find it by Googling for Blackberrymanul pin).

Can you have a read of the guide at and let me know if you'd be willing to help me out with this?
