help fido blackberry storm

i have a unlocked Verizon storm 9530 and am trying to use it on the fido network

the phone works the sms works but i can not get the bbm or email system to operate i use the fido website to put in my pin... and no luck?

i dont have a data plan exactly instead i have a unlimited email and instant messaging plan

anytips on if this can work or what i am doing wrong?

It won't work without a data package.

Which the OP does have. Here in Canada, RIM does have a scaled down version of the bis, no browser, but we do have BBM, and email. Is that the feature you have? A regular dqata feature will not work on your berry. Did you call Fido to see why your PIN and IMEI are not being accepted?
