    Tried again by email, explaining carefully what the situation was and requesting Vodafone's help in tracking down the previous owner. their reply was "I'm so sorry to hear about everything that has happened and I'm pleased that you've brought all of this to my attention.
    If I were in your place I'd probably be feeling the same way and I'd like to ensure that this is resolved for you.
    Anthony, I completely understand your concerns however, unfortunately I regret to say this that we can't help you in this case until the original account holder contacts us."
    Why won't they contact him/her. They know the details, I don't.

    I'm going through the same thing with Verizon... wish I'd read this thread before I bought the used BB.
