Default headphone jack screwing my phone!

Yesterday, I plugged up my regular Sony headphones into my storm to watch youtube videos. Now my storm still believes they are plugged up and won't allow my phone to ring or my alarm to sound out loud. I did multiple battery pulls and even stuck the headphones in and put repeatedly. I can't think of any more ideas, can I have some suggestions??? I'm also not able to get to a computer promptly so if you could pin ur suggestions it would be greatly appreciated! 30710E87

I had this happening on my Storm and found this to be a common issue (Search the forum and you will find tons of people with the same problem). I was able to fix it by plugging and unplugging the headset 4 or 5 times.. It's strange but it does work. Good luck..

this is one of the major issues i have w/ this phone. its great otherwise but I had been listening to music one night unplugged my headset and my alarm never went off because it thought it was still in headphone mode. Needless to say I was late to work because of this. Wasnt to happy. So now I make sure its actually in normal mode before going to sleep.

Thanx dutchman! 4 or 5 times rapidly did the trick! I totally love this site! This is the second time I've resolved an issue in a couple of hours through the forum! Thanx again!

What OS are you using? I had a similar problem while using .148, but since upgrading to .151 I no longer have the problem.
