I just tried it & it made me a believer!!!!

With all BB millions in research, a cut business card makes the biggest difference!!!!

Kudos to biborado for coming up with this mod!

My screen has become unreponsive(click-wise) at my green call corner....took a business card, folded it in half and cut to shape....instant clicking improvement. My problem is aside from the cover bulging slightly, is a new crinkling sound from just below center in portrait mode making me worried something inside the phone is being damaged. I'm planning on returning this phone but I'm sure there isn't a fix yet aside from this technique. Up until two days ago didn't have a single problem with the screen anywhere....wondering if my problem is a result of fatique on the click screen

My screen works great but after doing this I got a problem with my screens brightness flickering. I removed some thickness from under the battery cover and I haven't seen the problem return yet. Still, I just don't see myself being able to keep a phone with this mod done I'm too afraid it's going to harm my device over time. I want a working phone.

I took the card out to see if I could live with the phone without this mod, and lo and behold, the phone didn't recognize more than three fourths of my clicks anymore. I think this mod is a bad idea for those who were satisfied with their screen already. I now have to put one business card and one post it note on top of my battery to get the screen to recognize the clicks now. Before I tried this, the phone worked fine.

Default what's your problem?

the point was if 3 pieces of bus cards are too much then a thick c/c would be as well. Twins wasn't being a smart a*** but you seemed to be. twin was simply saying it seemed like a bit much which it does.

Z'okay, I just removed the shims again, and now the clicks register again. This must be related to something other than the card paper.

I took my "Shims" out, and just for sh**s and grins, I played with my phone, with the back cover off.

I think it may be a heat issue. As soon as I got my phone I put the silicon case on and didn't think anything about it, I am going to check it tomorrow with out the silicon and see how it works. It even seems allot smother and faster when it is "cooler"

wouldnt taking the battery door off, and applying pressure to your battery with your finger, do the same thing and allow you to see how it will work for you?

cause i tried that, and it was exactly as before.

ALSO, if you are only putting it behind the battery, what about the rest of the phone's screen area? does only half the screen get better?

The actuator for the screen is on top of the battery, so as far as I know, it just lets you push the actuator more easily.

as noted on in the sticky above , the new storm models have rounded edges allowing for easy pushing , the old ones some of us have are sharp 90 degree edges that suck
