is anyone else noticing a memory leak with the gmail plugin?

I had a pretty bad memory leak when I was trying out a few of the different hybrids and early 5.0 leaks. It does seem to coincide with me installing the gmail plugin, and since it's not compatible with .191 I uninstalled it and have fantastic memory.

Makes sense now, I just didn't feel like going through and deleting apps >_<

I seemed to get the same- decided to remove the app as I didn't really use the extra features anyway...

I use gmail a lot and have had my phone on for about six hours now and have 20/3 mb available. Running 4.7.0.148

i'm on .148 and it doesn't really leak for me

slacker does for me, and aim does intermittently...i don't always have it on my phone, so i download and delete as necessary, and it seems that OTA installs sometimes have leaks, but DM installs don't...it's weird, i'm still looking into it further

    in the mean time:

I removed the gmail plugin lastnight after posting to this thread and my memory is now alot more stable than with the plugin installed. i am sitting around 28-30 mb's constant, compared to about 17-21mb's with the plugin...

anyone know of a way to let the gmail support team fix this issue? maybe an app developer can assist in writing the code correctly so that the memory leak can disappear or held to a minimum?
