i don't really know how long you have to stay with them then they unlock it for you, all i know verizon's international department, they have really good customer service compare to others. also do you guys know that att will not unlock any phone that not capable for their data plan, their new stupid policies.

Why does VZW let you unlock their phone? Am I missing the point of unlocking? I thought it basically meant you were going to sell it for use on another carrier...

The Storm is a World Phone... if you want to travel to Turkey (or something) then you'd have the option of dropping in a Turkish SIM card so that the phone works on their networks.

Unlocking the phone allows you to do this.

Not everyone that unlocks their phone is looking to eBay the thing. For me, I'm British so when I go back to the UK, I'd like to be able to still use the phone on the Vodafone network.
