    The 9500 does have ATT's 3G signal, but apparently is blocked in the firmware. Has anyone heard anything about getting around this block?

    I don't think the Storm has ATT 3G frequencies (850MHz & 1900MHz). Just 2100MHz which is the standard 3G frequency in Europe.

    Can't post links, but I got the specs from Blackberry's website.

    Just GSM/EDGE frequencies.

    It does. All the tester units with the same chip had ATT and Rogers 3G.

    Yeah they did. Even CX confirmed it a while back. The 9530 had the NAM 3G bands as well but they are locked out.

    well i stand corrected. that would be pretty awesome then if there was a way to unlock those bands.. !!! maybe some programmer at rim can leak out a modified radio code?
