what is the difference between the "messages" icon and the "desktop" icon?
i am using a hosted exchange to run my outlook exchange mail on my blackberry. when i receive a new email i get one copy in my "desktop" icon and two copies in my "messages" icon. in order to clear the new message notification on the main screen i need to open the "desktop" and the "messages" icons.
what is the purpose of the "messages" icon anyway? and more importantly how do i make this annoying problem go away? this is my second storm and this is something that did not happen on my previous storm, so it must be a setting i've negleted to change.
