After reading countless threads, I couldn't come up with a short and clear answer on whether flash player would work on a verizon Storm, using flash to watch streaming videos or such. I would appreciate if someone can clarify this.

Adobe says it's in the works, wont be version 9, will be 10... here's the quote on what it will run on:
Adobe will optimize a desktop-compatible version of Flash Player 10 for devices running ARM11 and faster processors, Adobe's Anup Muraka said. Devices with at least 200 MHz processors, more than around 16 Mbytes of RAM and a "completely capable [Web] browser" will be able to render Web-based Flash content, he said. :
It amazes me more and more how many times this question has come up.
First time I have ever tried searching on this forum, and I find 96 threads referencing "flash" half of which gave the same answer. I find it hard to beleive that you couldn't.
sorry for the bitterness, but prior to release there was a ton of posts, and now all of a sudden it has doubled. same question same answer.
there is a thing between adobe and Arm(the company that makes the chips for cellphones) on making an optimized chip to support flash. there might be something later but only time will tell.
CX hinted at it a bit about a month or 2 ago because there were screen shots that showed the vzw page and it has flash on it
but no it wont
No. It was the Vodafone page that had flash. It was shown running on the Storm in a video. But then it was explained that in the mobile version of the site, the flash animation is replaced by an animated gif.
Flash DOES NOT run on the existing Storm. It may or may not in the future.
