I am pleased to hear this as it helps validate my theory. Now, all I have to do is figure out why this is happening? (I am a serious tech type and things like this really bother me). 73
Hey Hudres.. Any luck figuring out why the SIM card removal helps us work around the issue? Is there a permanent fix out there?

I actually had this problem with my replacement storm when I first got it. I pulled the SIM card from the old phone, and put into my replacement storm and I haven't had a problem with freezing since.
I just figured it was a coincidence or something like that, since I had upgraded the OS on my storm right after switching the card.

    Well well

this might explain why I've never had these problems that everyone keeps yelling about, I've never had a SIM card in my storm. Now I know to unlock it if/when I need it.

    Much appreciated for the info!!!

Well it has already rebooted so didn't work for me I put it back inAnd its been good for now I have noticed the reboots happen most when I get a new mesage onAny app and I try to take it put of the holster right when I get it idk why that would matter but it only happens with messages even if I leave the open or on the masage screen and it goes to sleep or whatever it does it goes to reboot once I hit a button somethin has to be conflicting

I encounter most of my freezes when I leave it "idling" on a bbm message window.

Anybody else run into this problem? I will certainly give this sim-removal a shot.

    Thanks!
Storm OS .75 - When my Storm reboots, it is almost ALWAYS when in BB Messenger... :-| I get the "Device Error" with some number, it flashes way too fast to read then reboots... I dont think pulling the SIM will work..

I was having random reboots 4-5 time a day on OS .75 and .122 I also wiped my Storm downgraded to .75 then back to .132 its been 2 days now and now I have no more reboots! I still have my SIM card in. I'm not sure if this is just my phone or if .132 was what fixed the problem.

I will give this a try. My storm reboots itself constantly. Now its doing it when I am on phone calls so, I hope this rather simple fix actually works.
