a few problems when placing calls

Ok, so im a bold user, but have been using my husbands storm2 for a day or so (selling my bold) and when i place calls it seems if i hold the phone at a certain angle it goes to speaker phone, i also keep hitting the end icon. is thier a way to disable the screen when you place a call or something?

Sorry this should be in the strom 2 room, i clicked the wrong link.... can't figure out how to move it, or how to delete it...
