I read a couple posts about cleaning my event log, but I cannot bring up the keyboard when I turn the phone to landscape mode.

That seems the first step as it seems to clearing the log.

Any suggestions?

I hit the BB Menu by the way, and I don't know how to bring up the keyboard.

You can set a convenience key to the keyboard so that way you can bring up the keyboard in the menus. Set the convenience key by going to options>screen/keyboard and scroll down to the left/right convenience keys and set it to whichever one you want.

I think it depends on the OS version your running because i tried in on 419/451 hybrid and it will not work for me.

If it's shrunk out it won't work. You have to have it in the OS to be able to clear it.
