Default email attachment size

Prior to the verizon os upgrade I could open 4-5mb attachments now I noticed I can't open a 2mb attachment. Truncated Due to Size. Anyone else have this problem?

Yep. As soon as I get a free 30 mins. I'm going to sit down and call tech support. I will post what they tell me.

Have you tried this more than once? In other words, did you let some time pass before trying to open the attachment for a second time?

The network could have been overloaded at that time.

Yeah I was having the problem with my hotmail account. I tried it a few times today as well as yesterday same problems. I just sent a 3mb video to my pop3 email and it went thru, but it wouldnt allow me to open or download the file.... It exceeds 2.9mb..... WTF! So basically my $30 data package allows my to send and receive sms/mms and small emails.

I've always had this..."attachment exceeds 2.99 MB". I've had this message since day one.

I'm pretty sure RIM/BIS has a 3 meg size limit.

If I'm not mistaken (and I may be) it's the carrier's settings (BIS) that depicts the size of the limit.

I talked to tech support.....didn't get the information I wanted actually didn't get any information.. She just said I don't know.

But I did tell her my phone was having problems and was running REAL slow. So she is sending me a replacement phone out.

She told me to contact them if I still had the email problem with the new phone and she would connect me with RIM.

I make it a point to never argue with a Genius. If I remember correctly, I had read something from Ciciv about the 3 meg limit, but she was likely going off on Verizon.
