no it will not work on north american 3G markets. the best youll ever get with it in north america is EDGE. sorry.

No it only works on verizons 3g network here in the states and edge or EDGE on tmob or att.

AFAIK the only "3G" service supported by 95xx is on the CDMA networks where it shows as 1XEV. The radio chipset doesn't support GSM/3G and on European networks or with non-US sourced 9500 will be EDGE or GPRS/GSM only

Branta, the 9530 does support 3G on European GSM networks. It doesn't have North American GSM 3G frequencies, so it's GSM EDGE or CDMA EVDO here in the States.
