9530 is both CDMA and GSM released on Verizon Wireless in the U.S while 9500 is GSM only on Vodafone in the UK...One advantage 9530 have is that if you ever decided you wanna jump ship from Big Blue to Big Red..no need to buy another Storm

Where do you plan on getting the Storm?

There is no hardware difference the two, so whichever is cheaper.

Where did you find these specs? I just looked on the BB website and could find no referance to the 9500 or 9530 specifically. It just labeled the storm as having these radios that I copied from their website:
    Wireless Networks

    UMTS/HSPA: 2100 MHz
    Europe/Asia Pacific: 1800MHz GSM/GPRS networks
    Europe/Asia Pacific: 900MHz GSM/GPRS networks
North America: 850 MHz GSM/GPRS networks
    North America: 1900MHz GSM/GPRS networks
    Dual-Band: 800/1900 MHz CDMA/Ev-DO networks

I would imagine that the 9530 would be easier to find here int he USA.

Get the 9500. Why? All the 9530 OS past .99 sucks for GSM users. If the official update doesn't correct this you're screwed.
