Nope. No 5.0 OS. Wouldn't be released direct from RIM, would be pushed through the carrier. Verizon's website still has 4.7, and BB.com uses the AppLoader in DM to check for updates. No 5.0.
Its ok noob . I will fix the title in the morning when I get to a PC. I will add DM to the title. Its nice to see your attitude and the responses from our members. Good looking out gang! Crackberry spirit is alive and well.

DM will prompt you every once in a while with that update. Doesn't seem to matter what OS you are on. Doesn't seem to make much difference, and I'm not entirely certain why it does it. Could just be that it picks up a discrepancy between the core apps on your device, and the device OS installed on your PC and seeks to rectify it.
And no biggie about the false alarm, it's actually been a while since I have seen one of these threads. It happens.
At some point, you may have signed up for software updates from RIM. It could simply be a delayed notification about DM 5.0. The emails for software are usually a ways behind CB.
