    Hi,

I'm considering purchasing a BB storm on Ebay (because I cannot wait until the next shipment comes in on Dec 15th!) and I noticed that several of the postings say Blackberry 9500 instead of 9530. After doing some research I realized that BB 9500 says "vodafone" on it- and I'm not sure what that is or what it means.

Could someone please tell me the difference between the 9500 and the 9530-and if the vodafone 9500 is somehow worse than the 9530? Thank you so much!

9530 - Verizon which is CMDA-no sim card
9500 - GSM which uses a sim card. You need to get the 9530 not the 9500.

Actually the 9530 is the first Verizon phone to use a Sim card... I was very surprised.

the 8830 uses a SIM card and is several years older than the 9530.
