My wife gets the following error when unplugging her Storm. (.148)

The phone has been giving that error the past few days but not it won't play any media files (both with the native media player on the BB and also a media player app that was downloaded). It won't even play youtube videos at the moment. "An error has occurred when attempting to access the media".

    Any ideas?

EDIT: when checking the Device Memory in the Memory section of Options it does not display the available memory, just a similar message to that posted above.
Sorry for the crappy camera phone picture of a camera.

Ok, so what was indicated after you ran the disk error-checking utility? Sounds like you need to do that before you can go any furhter. Once your done that comeback and let us know.

I ran the disk check that comes with Windows XP and even though it didn't report finding any errors, everything seems to work fine now.

    Thanks.

Make sure she hits the "safely disconnect hardware" button, then manually eject both Blackberry1 and Blackberry2 from the computer.

    Never just unplug it.
