I have downloaded the latest Desktop Manager software and am getting install errors.

Can anyone help?

The errors are:
GW.dll failed to register
GWApi.dll failed to register
Setup_pb.dll failed to register
SyncAE_pb.dll failed to register.

I uninstalled, did a Windows update, rebooted and tried again but still
get these errors.

The same file installed fine on my laptop.

Ok. I found a potential fix here by searching. I'll give it a try and post the results.
But should I really be having to do this?

I could not install the CD at all (Vista 64bit).
I had to download the program off RIM's website.

Works fine now though.

My install disc did not work on any of my computers, (three of them) either.

I had to download the current verson as well.

I'm not a noob to computers or technology but small things like that irritate the heck out of me.

I am also on my third Storm for hardware issues. The last one they sent came with no battery, memory chip or INSTRUCTIONS!

I do like the thing though and see great potential (if they get the OS updated).
