When I make a custom profile, is there a way that I can have a different tone play for my SMS separate from my normal profile. The alerts I have for certain contacts isn't appropriate when I'm at work and I would like separate tones for the 'Work' profile I made.

Yes the custom profiles are completely independent from the default profiles that are linked.

Yup. Click ring tone setting w/in custom profile. If unresponsive > battery pull (w/device on).

The people I text most often have a different tone than my general SMS tone and when I make a new custom profile, the contact alert from the other default settings rings through. I'm not sure how to get around that.
