I heard that a lot of the iPhone's "gesture" stuff was copywrited. I wonder if that's one of them?
First, gestures are not really the same as kinetic scrolling; Second, some aspects of kinetic scrolling might turn out to be patented, they are not copyrighted (not copywrited). Third, most aspects of kinetic scrolling are not patented, copyrighted, or anything else. Kinetic scrolling is used in the Gmail app for Blackberry as well as in the Nokia N800 and so far Apple hasn't sued anyone because Apple was not the first company to invent or implement this type of scrolling (they just popularized it).
