So I've used the paper behind battery trick for 2+ years no problems. (regular white printer paper folded over to double its thickness).
A new problem developed recently... my screen stopped clicking altogether!!!!!!
So I took the paper out, and it was back to normal... putting the paper back in made the click stop working again... even after a reboot. However, it seems that the paper can go back in after it is left out, for way, a day or two.
Maybe it has to do with the phone heating up?

I didn't notice any unusual warmth when the problem occurred though.
I've got the paper back in now, and its been 24 hrs or so and the problem hasn't resurfaced, but I have noticed the click getting "weak" a few times, but no full loss yet. I suspect the problem will resurface, but we'll just have to wait and see...
I'm really hoping to make this phone last as long as possible since I have a good tethering deal locked in (VZW $44 for unlimited mobile including 5GB tethering, I got lucky and locked in a discount --- plus I don't like the 'illegal' tether apps except as a backup when I use up my 5GB, this IS my home internet, as I have no other options, literally, I live in the stix, but get bomb 3G and don't want to pay another 50+$ monthly for a 3G usb card), plus I'm waiting for better smartphone options to come out over the next couple years...
