Alright I was about to update to the 5.0 hybrid or whatever. Anyways when I was going to backup everything, but It will just come up saying it can't when It gets to the time zones and if i go to the advanced area, it can't do half of them. "Error backing up database(s)."
I am running Smrtguard and that's the only thing I could think that could causing it to screw up.
I had to learn this the hard way too. Just hit the BB button on the bottom and go to options. Then select cache operations. From there, just clear everything. Once everything is clear, try backing it up again. It should go through. Hope this helps. Good luck!
i always have to go to my email folder and SMS folder, roll back several days and then delete everything prior (highlight the day, click BB menu, click "delete prior"). that always does the trick.
If clearing the cache on the phone does not work, then try also clearing it in DM using Back up/Restore>Advanced. I have seen when this works and clearing on the phone does not.
