Cant add Ymail account to BIS

Hello,
I have added 3 email addresses to my storm and 2 of them are google apps email and other one is gmail! I didnt had any problems when adding those accounts blackberry detected the google apps email automatically when I added email address and password and it really a surprise to see BB is detecting google apps settings

But when i try to add Ymail account ( Ymail is one of 2 other mail addresses of Yahoo ) it wont detect the email settings and asks to supply email server name. but I cant find yahoo server names because I have to pay them to get POP/IMAP access.

So how to do you got your Ymail account working with BIS?

Does Yahoo email accounts work with BB without any issue?

Hey there

I have a yahoo.co.uk email account set up fine on my Blackberry Pearl. It receives all emails sent to XXXX at yahoo.co.uk no problem at all.

I tried to set up my XXXX at ymail.com email address and it doesn't work. There are a few differences I've noticed in the way the Blackberry sets it up on my phone.

1. On the home screen the yahoo icon does not appear on the ymail.com account box (it does on the yahoo.co.uk box)
2. I get one email in the ymail.com box on my blackberry and no other. This email is from "Activation Server". It asks me to be sure that if I have a client e.g Outlook etc to access my email, then I should make sure the client leaves a copy of the email on the server. I do use Outlook to access email from my laptop, however it has already been set to leave a copy on the server. I have also deleted the ymail.com address entirely from Outlook to no avail. No other emails appear on the Blackberry sent to the ymail.com address (again, I get the yahoo.co.uk emails fine).
3. When I go to the email set up section of the Blacberry and select my ymail.com and select Edit / Login, I can see that Blackberry has stored my Log In name as johnsmith instead of johnsmith at ymail.com. (johnsmith at ymail.com is my login name). There is no way to adjust this on the blackberry. On the yahoo.co.uk account the settings are correctly saved as johnsmith at yahoo.co.uk.

I have been into the vodafone store and after 30 minutes of head scratching and asking all the experts in the store (it was the London flagship store......) they had to give up, and suggested just forwarding all my ymail emails to the yahoo.co.uk account.

Before you ask......pop forwarding is enabled on the ymail account and comes in fine to outlook. I've also tried setting up the email address on the blackberry as a yahoo email and as an "other" email. Same thing happens each time.

Any ideas? Anyone else having this same exact problem?

I have exact same problem. I also been able to setup my xxxx at yahoo.ca but my xxxx at ymail.com only received one email from "Activation Server".

In addition I have another issue. My xxxx at yahoo.com keep receives an response indicating that email address or password is incorrect, just like Ruchirablog.

Did any of you find a resolution to your issues? Please let me know.
