If my phone is locked, and I connect it to my laptop with the mini-usb, nothing happens, and when I double click the "drives" in My Computer, it can't open them. As long as the phone is unlocked, then it works fine. Anybody know if there is a way around this? Thanks

That's actually the desired behavior. When your phone is locked, the contents are protected. If the USB port could bypass your password, that would not be secure at all.

That makes sense, thanks... although I don't have my phone setup with a password.

It sounds like the security works the same way whether you are using a password or keyboard lock.
