Can I please not get dissapointed Anymore!
- I swear since, I got this thing it has been rough. I love the phone, I dont have any probs without besides lagging but I can wait for the official OS. But thats not my problem.
It seems that everything that looks interesting that Id love to use isnt supported!. I wanted Beejive so that I could install it, and not have 3 seperate apps BUT the storm isnt supported.
Im always looking for a good app, and I was looking at the blogs, and seen Qik. Now live streaming from my phone! That looks cool. Id love to show people half the dumb stuff I do all the time! Im midly excited about downloading, and when I go to do it. THE STUPID CLICK PHONE ISNT SUPPORTED! Its kinda pissing me off, that anything good I want I cant use. Im not gonna complain about getting an Iphone though, cuz those suck. Im definetely starting to consider a Different BB though.04-03-09 10:39 AMLike 0 - Yea your right. Its such a good phone, It could be so much better. what the **** is RIM doing! This is only my First BB experience! Its sad! I just wanna curse that Lazaridis guy the **** out, just to attempt to get something done. If this **** doesnt change, im getting a new BB( I dont wanna just give completely up) If the new BB still lacks support, and Os fixes, and great apps. Im giving up!04-03-09 10:48 AMLike 0
- Very good point. I think the device could be so much better than it currently is. I'm tired of the folks saying "give it time" or "the iphone wasn't that good when it first came out". To me, one has nothing to do with the other. Because Apple's product wasn't good at initial launch gives RIM the excuse to release a subpar device lacking proper support? Forget that crap. Companies need to release things already finished. Of course there will be occassional updates, but there's no need that within one week of the device launch they already are updating the OS. Why? Because they knew they released an unfinished product. Same thing with Apple. They are no better.04-03-09 10:51 AMLike 0
- Why do they have to be a crybaby for being displeased with something they paid their money for. Whether you agree or not, if you pay for something, you have the right to voice your opinion about it and don't have to settle for crap. If I pay my hard earned money for something, I can say whatever I want about it. You don't have to bash everyone because they don't feel the same way as you. You can deal with it if you want.04-03-09 10:54 AMLike 0
- Sometimes apps work whether or not the developers claim official support.
And Instango may not be the greatest multi-client IM program out there, but it's free and works fine on the Storm. Could be something to tide you over until something more to your liking comes along.04-03-09 10:59 AMLike 0 - Sometimes apps work whether or not the developers claim official support.

- They can post where they like. If the Mods move them then fine. You can call it whining if you want, others call it voicing their displeasure. Surely it's possible to voice your displeasure without being a whiner. If you have a problem with people complaining about stuff, then you are def on the wrong site. And from your numbers of posts, probably haven't been here long enough to see the full range of "whiners".04-03-09 11:16 AMLike 0
- I agree that this belongs in R&R. If it were "can anyone recommend some good Storm compatible apps for X,Y and Z?" it would be different. This seems like more of a venting session which is FINE it's just in the wrong spot.
I feel like from a developer point of view (I'm not a dev, just playing devil's advocate here) it makes sense for Storm compatibility to be a secondary objective... unless it's a Storm specific app, or course. Just makes sense to create an app that's compatible with the majority of devices and then update a version for the lone touch screen device after the fact. Dev's want to sell/distribute their apps to the biggest audience, and the truth is that us Storm owners don't outnumber the rest of the BB community (yet )
I understand your frustration... but I also understand why this happens.

You've probably already thought of this... but have you made sure compatibility mode is turned off on your "non full screen" apps? That might be part of the problem for some of them. Hope it helps!04-03-09 11:59 AMLike 0 -

Second of all, i'm sure cursing the CEO of RIM out would be REALLY productive....
I'm beginning to think alot of Storms are owned by "children"....
EDIT: If you wanted a device with lots of apps and a mature OS, you should have bought something that's been out a long time like the Curve. I have NO sympathy for a person who would buy a brand new device type from a company and not be willing to put up with the growing pains that go along with it.04-03-09 12:46 PMLike 0
