Im currently running

v4.7.0.148

i know their is a update for the OS tomorrow but im kind of scared of updating. can someone give me a guide on how to update it without messing anything up? last time i tried to update the OS on my 8330 it f'd it up and wiped it had a 513 error and i never got it to work again and had to buy my storm 9530 for full price.. so if i can get some help it would be very appreciated and btw am i on the most updated OS right now? and what will the new OS do for my phone. thanks to anyone who helps

The update process will be very easy since it is an official.

You will want to back up your device through Desktop Manager, then it should be a web upgrade link, you click it with the BlackBerry plugged in, it will walk you through the upgrade, then at the end you will just need to possibly restore you backup if it doesnt for you.

.148 is the current official for the 9530. (I believe that's what you meant since I don't think you have a tour )
