I downloaded the trial I'm wondering if it is this fully functional ?
I keep getting an error deleting pre-installed ring tones from the samples file

    Net.Rim Device. api
    system. contrilledAccessExeption [NULL]

They are still there but when I delete files from my card it works..

I'm not sure of the storm but the pearl that I had before the ringtones were part of the core OS and could not be deleted. The stock ringtones are in a compressed format anyway and take up very little memory.

try using bb swiss army knife...i used that to slim down my OS 5.0 before loading, removing useless languages and other things. you may be able to find the ringtones in there

I've done this in the past with 4.X OS's but from what I read this is no longer a capability with 5.X.

you can use shrink-a-os to delete them before you load a new OS. How much space do they take up, and is that much really important enough to bother?
