Here's a logical improvement -- Make the calendar icon say today's date, instead of always "31"... I've begun to think its always Halloween.

This is both logical and functional, since the 4 row menu screen doesn't display the date.

I think the iPhone does this.

Isn't the day of week and date underneath the time on the top of your home screen?

No date (just time) when the "full" menu (4 rows of icons) is displayed. The date does appear when I have 1 row of icons and my desktop background photo showing.
