did you put something under the battery to make the screen work better?

This happens to my phone if what's behind the battery is too big. I use paper and I had to take out some to make it work. try taking it all out and are what happens at reboot

i had the same problem too but only on the os .151 i believe, it would be completely unresponsive and wouldnt work for me, kinda like it was frozen, i would suggest upgrading to 5.0 or downgrading to .148 if your on .151

As you likely know, .148 is the latest official supported OS from Verizon. OS .151 is a newer leaked version. The Storm OS subforum has a few threads on pros/cons, etc. for .151.

In order to upgrade,

1. Uninstall .148 from your computer (Control Panel...Remove Programs). For good measure, go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files to verify the .148 folder is gone.

2. Download and install .151 from the first link in my signature....List of OS's.

3. Follow the steps in the second link in my signature to load .151. onto your Storm...Noob Guide.

Several threads on this, my cursory reading of them is that there's no consensus if this is a hardware or software issue. In other words it may require a screen click fix or an O/S upgrade/downgrade or both or neither...

Your phone probably has a screen protector on it (they come that way). Try picking at one of the corners and pull it off. See if that helps your touch issues.

I have also read many post on this topic to no avail. After a long day my swipe sensitivity goes down ultimately going to a completely unresponsive screen. After a battery pull things are back to normal although it is inevitable that it occurs again later that day. I'm starting to considering returning the phone and trying out another.

I had the same problem....I was fixed after I got rid of my theme and started to use the default zen.

Andrew, I'm curious...do you carry your Storm in your pocket or in a holster?
