dropped blackberry storm last night and the screen is now black (i've taken the battery out multiple times). will more than likely have to get a new phone, but how can i retrieve text messages onto new phone? can the people at verizon do it? can i download them to my computer? the store doesn't open for 2 and half hours. thank you!

Unless you make a backup through your Desktop Manager on the computer, I can't think of a way to retrieve your old text messages. Even then, it might not work.

Ok I had this happen and I know this is gonna sound bad to do but Punch the screen 3 or 4 times....I got pissed that it wasnt working after my friend dropped it and full force punched it 3 times and the screen turned right back on
