When I press the blackberry button (menu button) I get the Switch Application menu up instead of the normal menu. this happens about 80% of the time and in all Applications. I was running .85 and updated to .86 and the problem continues ..

Anybody else seen this? Any Ideas? its kind of a pain ;(

    Thanks

The button serves two functions. If you press quickly it will bring up the menu, however, if you press hold a split second it brings up the switch app. menu

same thing happened to me when i upgraded to .85 and .86 . When I came back down to .75 it pretty much stopped. So im guessing its just a bug in the leaked OS.

I see this 'often' too - not sure if it would be 80% of the time. I'm worried it may be a hardware issue.... so far I'm putting up with it as a quick escape then bb button again generally has me into the menu.

.86 seems to have lessened the amount of time you need to hold down the BlackBerry button to bring up the app switcher. Not sure about .85, as I wasn't on it long enough to notice.

This has just recently been happening to me on .85. Its real odd to me how the os changes how it runs after time.

Check the Key Rate setting in the Screen/Keyboard menu under Options, putting this back to 'Normal' took care of this issue for me.

Changing the key rate to Normal worked for me as well.

Another reason I went back to .75! Could not handle the instability of .86.

Putting it back to normal looks like it is working for me as well. I didn't even know it had gotten set differently. thx for the replys

Now that you guys mention it, I did recently change my key rate setting. It doesn't happen unless
My thumb hesitates on the blackberry button. A quick tap always brings up the menu.
