Default Blackberry browser question

I would like to delete the blackberry web browser to clear up some application memory (I currently use opera)...my main question is if I delete the browser can anyone think of any negative consequences? Thanks

I've never tried to do that, so I'm not sure what would happen. If I was thinking of doing this, I'd just backup my phone first, and try it. Most likely worse case is you have to do a restore...take you maybe 3 minutes. Absolute worse case, you have to reinstall OS...maybe 30 minutes.

You can't delete the built-in browser. It's part of the core apps. There's no way to switch the default to another browser.

You wouldn't be able to download anything either. Even if you could delete it.
