Bedside Mode quit working after update

I let my storm 2 do an update yesterday that seemed to go fine, but now when I plug in the charger it no longer goes into bedside mode. I checked it and it is still set for that. I turned bedside mode off and back on, but still does not work.

I can manuall put it in bedside mode.

Anyone else have this problem with the new software?

Funny thing is, if I plug it into the computer, it goes into night mode. If I plug it into the AC Adapter, no go.

that because the two power sources provide different voltages, which the device can differentiate between. however, it doesn't know what to do with the one from the ac adapter.
