Hey everyone, idk how or when it happened but can neone confirm that the bbm5 avatar thing is working/showing now (even if u dont hav the other person in ur address book)?
b/c for however reason, i can now c one of my bbm friends' avatar, he aint even in my address book

open a conversation > go back to main screen > go to ur info > put up an avatar > c if the person can c the avatar

edit: now two ppl can c my avatar

edit2: title should say "BB5 Avatar Display Confirmation"

it started happening about an hour and half ago for me. majority of my bbm friend getting the update. who ever getting the update, & who ever get the update they can now see mine also.

mine started working about the same time you posted this, i now have 4 people with avatars i can see...

maybe you have to update the avatar for it to show up?

yep... just change it > if u want ur other avatar back > change back...
bbm needs to "update" ur avatar

people are seeing my avatar now too! this new bbm is amazing! i like it a lot...

i have one question though.. does the avater automatically update?? almost all of my friends have 5.0 but i can only see about 5 people's picture... should i just be patient and wait it out? or is there some sort of update i can do..

its working just as it should.. no facebook or contact links necessary...auto updated and everything.. just like my parents said, patience is a virtue!
