Hello All - So I bought my new storm on Jan 26th, I have the most updated OS officially released by Verizon, but my Storm KEEPS resetting by itself. Sometimes I'll actually see it crash and a small dialog box comes up that says something like "device failure" but quickly flashes white, then black.
It takes it 4 minutes to restart and cycle through it's startup process. Sometimes it even drops in the middle of a phone call. I have asked Verizon and they tell me to hard reset the device to restore factory settings...no luck. Do i need a new device? Should I upgrade to these "non official" OS releases?
Mine used to reset itself 3-4 times a day sometimes, when I was running .75, plus it was slow, and the camera took forever to take a photo. I've since upgraded to .109. I no longer get the random resets that I used to get almost daily. .109 has it's own problems, but they're fewer and less annoying than .75. In short your reboots are software and not hardware, most likely.
