I updated my OS several days ago to the new release. Everything worked great until last night and suddenly I lost all data service (email and browser). I then registered my storm through the advanced options and also resent my service books. While I was doing this, the icon for my email disappeared (it is a vzw.blackberry.net account). I did a restore for data from desktop manager. This brought the email icon and my existing emails back, but I still cannot send or receive email. If I go to email setup it tells me that an email address does not currently exist for my device. Any suggestions on what may be wrong?
I sent the service books through BIS and I registered through the advanced options on the device.
I also just checked on the list of service books on the phone, and there are two service books listed for the email address I am having the problem with. Should I delete these and try to resend the books?
Yes, the VZW email account. The browser is working fine. I just ran a diagnostics test and everything checked out except for the connection to the email address.
When I login to the BIS page, it prompts me to setup an email address for my device. I hit cancel and it takes me to the main page, but still says there are no email accounts configured for my device. Has VZW lost the connection between my email and device somehow?
Great to hear it
@TheMiz Reconcile Now does just that: it reconciles the emails on your device and on the server(i.e. you start off with 2unread msgs. you delete one and read the other. *reconcile now* if you check your email on the computer, it will reflect the samene read email/one deleted.
