Irratating problem...my back key likes to take me from my browser all the way to my home screen..and then my bbkey likes to act like its stuck and bring up my apP switcher..even if I don't want it

Buttons must be stuck since holding the BB button brings up the switcher and holding the back key exits apps.

options > screen/keyboard > key rate. Lower it.

yep moved my key rate to normal and fixed those issues for me.
