Facebook leaks memory and Viigo is a memory hog. Drivesafe.ly has been stated to leak/hog memory, but I haven't seen it on my phone. Definitely delete facebook and viigo (or at least FB). When I had facebook on my phone, my memory started at about 31MB and then 12 hours later was at about 10MB. Once I deleted FB, my memory hasn't moved anymore than .8MB

The first three on your list are huge memory hogs. Lose one or two
and you'll see a difference. Also suggest getting meterberry to manage your memory.

First of all, the first response isn't correct. Facebook isn't a memory leak on my storm, so it is a personal experience issue. Facebook is one app I wouldn't do without. Viigo was a huge leak on my phone, speedtest seemed like a waste to me as well. I believe the shear number of apps you have will cause you to have low memory to start. The first thing to do is to delete the apps one at a time and see when the leak goes away. Delete an app, wait a day and see what memory is, if still a leak try the next one. Remember that app world is a huge hog when it is open, so always close it when not using it.

Poynt also uses a fair bit on mine when it is running. Basically you should decide which apps you need, delete the ones you don't use and that will give you a better starting point as well.

yeah newer facebook is much much better on memory.

but you dont need 2 weather apps and try limiting the number newsfeeds and readers you have. Any app that is constantly polling for info like those have a good potential for leaks.

My response was correct (I was running the latest release), in certain cases FB does cause memory leaks even when not running. However, I do agree that most of those apps are memory hogs. And having a large amount of apps will cause you to have such a small amount of memory.

can I just ask if you even use half of those apps ona regular basis? Cause if not you should get rid of some of that crap. You have way too many b.s. Apps.

Get rid of the known memory leak apps first then check your memory.

Set viigo to update only when you open it. Go into options to chamge it.

definitely remove anything you have doubles of (two weathers? two app store/world?) and all the ones listed as memory hogs. Then I'd get rid of anything you don't absolutely need because that high number of apps alone will lessen your memory.

I have noticed some memory problems with Themes on OS 5.0 with any theme from themebuilder. I even made one that had no custom programming, just new graphics and still noticed memory problems

Do you have a lot of themes? Because I noticed that my Storm running on OS 5.0 has a severe memory leak especially while using the iBerry theme. I usually leak 15MB of application memory in a day.

The ones that I put in red I found to have memory leaks for me. Once I uninstalled them My memory tends to float around the same spot for days.

yeah newer facebook is much much better on memory.

    But it still leaks...
