What could be wrong?
I tried to back up my info today using the software, but I get about halfway through and i get an error message stating: " Error backing up databases".
Is there a thread as to what could be wrong, or do I have a screwed up phone... or just not know what I'm doing yet?

There are many threads. Try clearing Browser Cache, etc. Works for most folks. If not, use Advanced Backup and do sections at a time, working around trouble spots. RIM really needs to clean this up !
