Hey Guys, I'm about to do a memory wipe to try and clear up application memory on my storm, and im trying to figure out how to back up my contacts to an excel spreadsheet (which is what I was told to do). Any help?
"Yea, you need a memory wipe. Back up your contacts to Excel and transfer them over after the wipe. Don't restore your settings from DM or it's just going to put the corrupted files back onto your phone that have been eating up the memory."
Why do you want it in Excel. Just go to DM>Backup and Restore>Advanced> and select Address Book. I do all 3. Send to the left, then click on File and Save As.
if anything the corrupted files are an app or more likely a theme that is causing the memory drain
imo follow dm for the contacts (no one has seemed to have issue with being corrupted through it) and then install ur most important apps back on by one if u had a serious problem.
